Setting up your shop

This article is being written. The short checklist for a brand-new shop:

  1. Set your weight units (Inventory → Settings → Units of Measure → Weight). Choose lb if you’re in the US, kg if you’re metric. Everything — labels, POS, packs — follows this single setting.
  2. Review service-product prices (Inventory → Products, filter by CLEAVER_*). Cut & Wrap, Smoke / Cure, Sausage, Kill Fee, Aging Premium. The seeded defaults are placeholders.
  3. Invite your team — see Inviting your team.
  4. Print a test pack label to confirm your label printer is connected and the layout fits your label stock.
  5. Do a dry-run carcass with a fake animal so you know the flow before doing it for money.
