Pickups & deliveries

Stage for pickup

When a cut sheet is fully packed and labelled, click Stage for Pickup. Cleaver moves the packs into the Customer Pickup virtual cooler and creates a delivery picking that’s waiting for the customer to walk in. They show up on the Operations dashboard’s Ready for Pickup tile.

Stage for Pickup creates two pickings — one to the cooler (auto-validated) and one to the customer (waiting for them to walk in).

Hand off the meat

When the customer arrives, open their cut sheet’s Deliveries smart button, validate the picking. Cleaver auto-confirms the linked sale order and posts the invoice in the same click. Hand the customer their invoice copy along with their meat.

Multi-shot pickups

Some customers pick up half their order Tuesday and the rest Friday. Stage for Pickup as many times as you need — Cleaver tracks each delivery separately and only fires the auto-invoice when the LAST delivery validates.

When auto-invoicing doesn’t fire

The most common reason: a non-fatal error during invoice creation (missing tax, missing journal, currency mismatch). The pickup itself succeeds and the SO stays in Confirmed — open it and click Create Invoice manually. See Troubleshooting → A sale order didn’t auto-invoice on pickup.
